The ASTD Global Network Hong Kong was formally launched in December 2005. It seeks to build a network of ASTD members in Hong Kong to facilitate learning from one another, as well as exchange of knowledge, ideas and even resources with other human resource development professionals in Hong Kong and other countries.  Our vision and mission are:

To be recognized as a leading resource platform for workplace learning and performance professionals in the Asia Pacific Region.

	To set standards and best practices to elevate the qualification of workplace learning and performance profession
	To provide practical resources to workplace learning and performance professionals to become effective business partners in developing and executing organizational strategies

Up-to-date there are around 100 ASTD members in Hong Kong coming from different industries.  Most of them have more than 10 years of experience in the workplace learning and performance profession and hold significant positions in shaping and driving organizational learning and high performance culture.
