Executive Committee Member Biography

Peter Yip - President

Peter is the President and CEO of Peter Yip Consulting Group Limited. He has more than twenty years of banking, human resource management and consulting experience in leading financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO Bank and The Bank of East Asia Limited. Apart from commercial banking experience, he specializes in organizational integration, leadership alignment, change management, culture development, performance management and feedback management. He has led many successful consulting projects and facilitated hundreds of training programs in over 15 countries in USA, UK, Europe and Asia Pacific. Before starting his own training and consulting business, he was the Head of Learning & Development, North Asia JPMorgan. Peter had been instrumental in helping JPMorgan develop new leaders, build new cultures and implement new learning strategies after the successful mergers in 1996 (Chase Manhattan Bank and Chemical Bank) and 2000 (Chase Manhattan Bank, JPMorgan and Jardine Fleming).


Annie Lee - Vice President

Annie Lee heads up the Commercial Training function for Asia-Pacific, Baxter Healthcare, a diverse healthcare company specializing in critical care therapies.  Prior to joining Baxter Healthcare in 2005, she worked for Abbott Laboratories as Commercial Training Manager, Asia-Pacific for the Diagnostics Division.  Her progressive career in training stemmed in 1995, when she joined the Corporate Training department for Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels, Ltd.  She holds an MBA from RMIT University (Melbourne), and BA from University of Toronto. 


Terence Ng - Vice President

Terence is now the senior manager of a multinational financial institution specializing in leadership and management development.  He works as an internal consultant to advise, design and develop leadership and management development solutions to different businesses in the organization.  Professionally, he is trained in Black Belt Six Sigma program, an accredited MBTI and DiSC administrator, an accredited action learning coach and also an accredited trainer for DDI training programs. Before being a leadership and management training professional, he had solid experience working in front-line roles in both financial industry and health care industry, equipping him with solid people management experience. He received his Bachelor Degree in Science and a Master Degree in Business Administration from major universities in Hong Kong, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration. 


Edmund Lam - Immediate Past President

Edmund is currently the Vice President of Training & Development, Human Resources, with one of the major banking corporations in Hong Kong, responsible for the training/learning function. His experience as training/learning practitioner has been mainly with the banking industry in the region. His expertise includes organization development, management development and talent management with successful experience in facilitating organization change and developing leadership and talent pipeline for organizations. He has got a M.Sc in HRM/Training with University of Leicester (UK).


Wendy Yip - Communications, Chair

Wendy is now with a Japanese conglomerates heading the training and development function of Asia Pacific, she participates in global HR projects as well.  Before joining the current company, she worked on talent development, performance management & organization development in electronics engineering, hotel & retail industries.  Her career in T&D stemmed from the airport businesses of Jardines. 

Wendy is an accredited MBTI and DiSC administrator, accredited trainer for DDI training programs & NLP Practitioner.  She holds a M.Sc in Training and HRM with University of Leicester and a BA from the University of Hong Kong.


Ashford Pritchard - Communications, Vice Chair

Ashford Pritchard is the Managing Editor RFP Magazine & Associate Director of Facility Media.  As Managing Editor of RFP Magazine, he has overseen the publication of Facility Media’s flagship title since February 2007 and is responsible for managing the editorial and production process for Facility Media publications. His duties have taken him across Asia Pacific, from Bangalore to Beijing, covering the diverse range of topics that affect the industries of the built environment.  In addition to his role at RFP Magazine, he has also contributed to Facility Media conferences and events, such as the GreenBuild, Retail Space, Hotel Space and Mixed-Use Development series. He was the executive producer for The Architecture and Design Conference 2009 and co-produced Office Space Asia 2008. A Hong Kong resident for over 5 years, Ashford holds a Bachelors Degree in Management Engineering and French from the National University of Ireland and a CIM Diploma in Marketing.



Joyce Chan - Programs & Events, Chair

Joyce has over 10 years of experience in training and development.  She started her career in T&D with the Airport Authority.  Joyce is now with JSM (formerly known as Johnson Stokes and Master) heading the training and development function of the law firm.  Before joining JSM, Joyce was the Group Head of Training and Development with Gammon Construction, jointly owned by Jardine Matheson and Balfour Beatty, overseeing the Gammon Academy and other T&D functions in Hong Kong and the Regions.   

Joyce holds a Master of Science degree in Training and HRM and a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in Education Management.   



Candy Yuen - Membership, Chair; Programs & Events, Vice Chair

Candy works for one of the world's largest express transportation company as an Instructional Designer of Asia Pacific Sales Learning & Development, where she is responsible for the entire training cycle, from training needs analysis and design, to development, implementation and evaluation, in support of the long-term strategic commitment to maintain a world class sales force. She also brings the company’s training to the next level by developing web-based and multimedia solutions to enhance learning opportunities for sales professionals. All these bring her a unique combination of experience of learning and development, technology, sales and Asia Pacific exposure.

Candy holds a Master Degree in Instructional Systems Technology from the Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong.


Dorcas Lam - Programs & Events, Vice Chair

Dorcas is currently the Consultant of Asia Training and Consultancy Company.  She specializes in service training with a background in the hospitality industry.  She had solid frontline experience in first-class customer service with The Peninsula Chicago and JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. 

As a consultant, she has participated in numerous projects for both public and private sector organizations.  She has designed and conducted training workshops, including customer service, communication and team management, for the supervisors and middle level management of various public organizations.  She has participated in designing and delivering change management and leadership workshops for several global companies in the medical instrument, banking and garment industries. 

Dorcas has an MBA degree from Hong Kong Baptist University and Bachelor Degree in Tourism Management from The School of Hotel and Tourism Management of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
